Drama in Bloomington

We don't blame Indiana fans for being confused. On one hand, coach Kelvin Sampson ignored NCAA rules and put the school's hoops program in serious jeopardy. On the other hand, the No. 15 Hoosiers keep winning, including last night's 77-68 victory over No. 14 Purdue. Some even want Bobby Knight to restore IU to glory. What will happen? Stay tuned.

SIOC would like to congratulate Brooke Helvie, the 2008 Miss University of Florida. If her name sounds familiar, it may be from her American Idol audition last month (and her frightening crush on Simon) or for her reign as the 2007 Miss South Florida Fair. Frankly, we think the award should've gone to this girl, but we (or Tim Tebow) don't get a vote.

As if the Duke-UNC rivalry needed more fireworks, Mike Krzyzewski went after Roy Williams at a press conference on Sunday, saying that the Blue Devils don't discuss injuries "unlike other schools." Coach Williams responded in his own press conference the following day, telling an unspecified person (who is obviously Coach K) to "coach their own damn team, I'll coach my team."
