Men's Baseball, South Florida vs. New York Yankees, 1:15 p.m.

The Yankees' turbulent offseason has come to an end and the team can now focus on the task at hand -- wasting another $200 million on an underachieving roster. Today they kick of their spring schedule against a Bulls team schooled by assistant coach Tino Martinez. South Florida players who don't want to get subpoenaed should keep their distance from Andy Pettitte.

Lecture of the Week: The Impact of the Internet on Airline Fares, MIT, Noon.

This is just a guess, but I'd say it made them go down. Still, it should be interesting to hear a former Continental Airlines VP crunch the numbers and reveal dark secrets about the internet.

Stanford Entrepreneurship Week Innovation Tournament Showcase, 5 p.m.

The challenge for this year's tournament was to create as much value as possible using ... (drumroll) ... rubber bands! A panel of judges featuring some of the most innovative minds alive will reveal who earned awards in categories such as "Most Creative," "Most Social Value," and "Biggest Flop."

SATURDAY

Gale Sayers Book Signing, University of Kansas, 1-3 p.m.

The "Kansas Comet" returns to his alma mater to sign copies of his new book, Sayers: My Life and Times. And this time people on campus will actually care about the football team.

SUNDAY

Great Balls of Fire Championship Match, University of Miami, Noon

Not only is this one of the country's premier women's Pro-Am racquetball tournaments, it's also a breast cancer benefit. What's not to like?

Men's Baseball, Georgia at Oregon State, Noon

Some die hard Red Sox memorabilia collectors could be making a weekend trip to Corvallis. Fans who purchase 10 or more tickets to this three game series will receive a limited edition Jacoby Ellsbury bobblehead doll .Those who buy fewer than 10 tickets will be stuck with a disgruntled Coco Crisp bobblehead.
