Yes, we know it's tournament time and over the next few days, we'll have more coverage than you'll know what to do with. But first things first -- it's March 17 -- so grab a green beer and check out these bizarre St. Patrick's Day traditions (and run away from anyone wearing this outfit).
For the next four days, we'll give you a capsule of a No. 16 seed. Today we focus on the Texas-Arlington Mavericks, which earned their first tournament appearance with an 82-79 victory over Northwestern State in the Southland Conference title game. The school -- better known as UTA -- boasts about 25,000 students and annual bed races. Our favorite fun fact about UTA: It's the alma mater of Lou Diamond Phillips. La Bamba!!
