Celebrating the Bears

This year's tournament has several feel-good stories, but none quite as impressive as Baylor. In 2003, the program was rocked by the murder of Patrick Dennehy and coach Dave Bliss' attempt to cover it up. Five years later, coach Scott Drew has the Bears in the tourney (in excruciating fashion ... they were the last team selected).

College Hoops' Newest Rivalry

Move over North Carolina and Duke. The fiercest rivalry in hoops is taking place on the other end of the country between UNLV and BYU. For the second year in a row, the Cougars are livid about UNLV fans storming the court and tackling everything in their way after the Rebels won the Mountain West tournament.

Getting to Know ... Portland State

Our week-long series profiling No. 16 seeds takes us to scenic Portland, Ore., home of the Portland State Vikings. The school has the largest enrollment of any Oregon school (24,284), is the nation's first salmon-safe university and is the alma mater of Courtney Love, June Jones and Playboy's Holly Madison. Even more impressive are the Portland State cheerleaders. Wowser!

Parker Posey hates Superbad and Knocked Up, claiming they don't do "anything particularly great for our culture." Of course, one wonders the cultural value of dousing freshmen high school students in ketchup, mustard and flour as Posey's character did in Dazed and Confused.
