With David Villa's crucial goals for Spain during Euro 2008, it was only natural he was going to go the subject of a summer courtship with Europe's wealthy elite. British paper The Daily Mail reported on Friday that Tottenham Hotspur has made another bid for El Guaje.

Spurs' first move for Villa was rebuffed by the Spanish outfit, so North London chiefs will be hopeful this latest offer is met with more consideration.

Villa's representative, Jose Luis Tamargo, was quoted by The Daily Mail as saying: "Many clubs have contacted me to ask about the chances of a player who is guaranteed to score goals in England. I am convinced that if Spurs were to present an offer to Valencia, they will study the subject."

Villa, who would cost Spurs $50 million, could be a replacement for Manchester United hopeful Dimitar Berbatov.
