Sven-Göran Eriksson didn't name a single European-based or Chivas de Guadalajara player in his list of 22 players for Mexico's upcoming friendly against Ecuador on Nov. 12 in Phoenix.

As the match isn't on a FIFA-sanctioned date, the list comprises mainly domestic players, with the exception of Manchester City striker Nery Castillo, who arrived in México this past Wednesday.

For the first time in his term, Eriksson considered a player from superlider San Luis, midfielder Israel "Jagger" Martínez, who will wear the national-team jersey for the first time.

The roster:

Goalkeepers: Guillermo Ochoa (América), Moisés Muñoz (Morelia)

Defenders: Óscar Rojas (América), Edgar Dueñas (Toluca), Leobardo López (Pachuca), Julio César Domínguez (Cruz Azul), Fernando López (Necaxa), Fausto Pinto (Pachuca), Edgar Castillo (Santos) and Jorge Torres (Atlas)

Midfielders: Fernando Arce (Santos), Jaime Correa (Pachuca), Gerardo Torrado (Cruz Azul), Israel Castro (Pumas), Francisco Torres (Santos), Israel Martínez (San Luis) and Antonio Naelson (Toluca)

Forwards: Nery Castillo (Manchester City), Vicente Matías Vuoso (Santos), César Villaluz (Cruz Azul), Carlos Ochoa (Monterrey), Francisco Fonseca (Tigres)
