
Greek: PAOK Thessaloniki beats Larissa, moves into second |
ATHENS, Greece (AP) -- Ibrahima Bakayoko scored a second-half goal Sunday to lead PAOK Thessaloniki to a 1-0 win over Larissa and move into outright second in the Greek league. After a quiet first half, PAOK became more aggressive and Bakayoko scored off a corner by substitute Vassilis Lakis in the 73rd minute. PAOK has 22 points, four behind leader Olympiakos, which won 3-0 at Iraklis on Saturday. Xanthi, which drew 1-1 with Aris, has 20 points, one more than Panathinaikos, which beat newcomer Thrasivoulos 3-0 Saturday. On the island of Crete, Pandelis Kaffes equalized in the 86th minute as AEK Athens drew 1-1 with OFI. Giannis Taralidis had given OFI the lead from a cross by Aleksandar Simic in the 75th. The game was Dusan Bajevic's first in his third stint as AEK coach after returning last week following a four-year absence.
