
UEFA fines Feyenoord, Deportivo, Roma, Marseille |
NYON, Switzerland (AP) -- UEFA fined Feyenoord, Deportivo de La Coruna, AS Roma and Marseille for crowd violence at UEFA Cup and Champions League matches on Friday. Feyenoord was fined 25,000 euros and Deportivo 5,000 euros after fans fought and threw objects at their UEFA Cup Group H match in Spain on Nov. 27. Feyenoord has also been ordered to settle damages caused by its supporters. Roma was ordered to pay 20,000 euros after its supporters lit flares and blocked public passageways during a Champions League home match with Chelsea on Nov. 4. Marseille has been fined 10,000 euros after supporters threw objects on to the field in a Champions League match against Liverpool at Anfield on Nov. 26. Copyright 2008 Associated Press.
