Tito Ortiz (15-5-1) is drug free three weeks out from his May 24 light heavyweight contest with Lyoto Machida.

The 33-year-old former UFC champion was tested under a year-round policy enacted in January by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, Executive Director Keith Kizer told SI.com late Thursday.

B.J. Penn and Sean Sherk, who compete against one another in the UFC 84 main event, were also tested and cleared.

Penn will defend his lightweight title on pay-per-view live from Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena.
