Three teams reached perfection in the last week, none more impressively than St. Anthony of Jersey City, N.J.
In finishing its season 32-0, St. Anthony won its 10th Tournament of Champions title and now can discuss its rightful position among the best teams in the storied school's history.
Across the country, an unbeaten season by McClymonds (Oakland, Calif.) came as more of a surprise, but it ended with an impressive victory over Compton, Calif., power Dominguez.
In the great Northwest, Ferris High of Spokane, Wash., took home its second consecutive unbeaten Class 4A state title behind senior forward DeAngelo Casto.
