Chris Peterson has been understandably reluctant to compare these Broncos to the 2006 Fiesta Bowl team, but Saturday's shutout sure felt like old times. Boise racked up 495 yards, with 16 different players getting touches on offense.

How's this for a first career start: Tech freshman safety Cooper Taylor made a game-high 10 tackles against Florida State, intercepted a pass and saved the game by forcing a last-second Marcus Sims fumble at the three-yard line.

The 'Noles aren't quite "back" yet, just as they couldn't come all the way back from a 24-10 deficit at Georgia Tech -- but they came within three yards of it. Freshman tailback Jermaine Thomas ran nine times for a career-high 130 yards.

For the second straight week, the Cougars won on a last-minute scoring drive. Down four with 1:36 left, Max Hall led BYU on a 76-yard TD drive. TE Dennis Pitta had 12 catches for 175 yards and two TDs, including the game-winner.
