With several upsets in the final week of the regular season, the bottom half of the rankings have become a bit jumbled. There's no question who's top dog, though. After Monday's 66-46 win over Rutgers, the Huskies are back at No. 1.

UConn Huskies (29-1)
Behind double-doubles from Renee Montgomery, Maya Moore and Tina Charles, UConn captured its second consecutive Big East title, as the Huskies got revenge on the Scarlet Knights, beating them by 20 in Hartford on Monday night.
"There was no question, they played like the No. 1-team in the nation," Rutgers coach Vivian Stringer said.
The win ended a week-long emotional roller coaster for UConn: Last Tuesday, the Huskies beat LSU -- the team who knocked them out of the tournament last season before having to rally from 17 down against DePaul on Saturday.

Rutgers Scarlet Knights (24-5)
This is a team that has learned how to deal with bad luck and disappointment. To recap some of the major moments of the season: A last-second foul on Candice Wiggins gave Stanford a win; a mysterious clock malfunction gave the Tennessee Vols some last-second foul shots and a victory; and last night a 20-point loss to UConn after leading scorers Epiphanny Prince and Matee Ajavon combined to hit just 5-of-23 shots. But then again, maybe the drama is just all part of C. Vivian Stringer's book promotion: Her book Standing Tall: A Memoir of Tragedy and Triumph hit bookstores Tuesday.

Tennessee Lady Vols (27-2)
They may not be No. 1 in the rankings, but they are tops in the RPI and appear headed for another top seed in the NCAA tournament. Even without playing UConn, they've once again faced the toughest schedule, building a 12-2 record against ranked opponents.

Maryland Terrapins (29-2)
Coach Brenda Frese returned to the sidelines after the birth of her twins for Sunday's game against N.C. State. Under her watchful eye, the Terps earned their 13th ACC win -- the most for Maryland since 1992. It was also the team's seventh straight win, giving the Terps momentum going into the tournament -- their No. 2 tourney seed is their highest in 15 years.
