The Mets are planning to scratch Mike Pelfrey from his scheduled start Sunday due to forearm tendinitis, sources said.

Pelfrey has been trying to talk the team out of scratching him, but sources indicate the team will play it safe and replace him. The Mets do not believe the ailment is anything serious.

Nelson Figueroa is a candidate to take Pelfrey's spot.
