PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Jayson Werth homered twice and Pedro Feliz and Shane Victorino also connected for Philadelphia, which combined with Los Angeles to tie the record of seven homers in a postseason game.

Andre Ethier, James Loney and Orlando Hudson went deep for the Dodgers on Wednesday night against Phillies starter Cole Hamels in Game 5 of the NL championship series.

It was the fifth time seven homers were hit a postseason game.

Oakland (five) and San Francisco (two) accomplished the feat in Game 3 of the 1989 World Series; Florida (four) and the Chicago Cubs (three) did it over 11 innings in the 2003 NLCS opener; the New York Mets (four) and St. Louis (three) accomplished the feat in Game 4 of the 2006 NLCS; and Boston (four) and Tampa Bay (three) did it over 11 innings in Game 2 of last year's ALCS.
