
Nationals to keep Riggleman as full-time manager |
![]() ![]() ![]() CHICAGO -- Jim Riggleman, the Nationals' interim manager for the second half of the 2009 season, will be elevated to the permanent managing job, SI.com has learned. The Nationals liked Riggleman from the start but interviewed several outside candidates, including veteran manager Bobby Valentine. Nationals GM Mike Rizzo said the manager would be named by the end of the week. He declined comment when asked if it was Riggleman. Nationals president Stan Kasten didn't immediately return a phone call. ![]() | ![]()
