ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) -- Michigan basketball coach John Beilein says Manny Harris and DeShawn Sims are returning next season.

Beilein said in a statement Friday he made the announcement about the players to address speculation about their future.

Harris and Sims had said they planned to return to school, but wanted to gather information about the NBA draft. Both were expected to return.

The duo helped the Wolverines win 22 games last season, including a first-round game in their first NCAA tournament appearance since 1998.

Harris averaged a team-high 16.9 points and was one of five sophomores on the All-Big Ten team. Sims averaged a team-high 15.4 points as a junior, earning second team All-Big Ten honors.
