Special prosecutor picked for Ark. rape claim |
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) -- Special prosecutor H.G. Foster has been picked to review a rape claim against three Arkansas basketball players. Local authorities declined to file charges, but agreed to allow someone else to review the case. Bob McMahan, the state's prosecutor coordinator, said Tuesday he recommended Foster and that a Washington County judge had no objection. Foster has plenty of experience as a special prosecutor. He helped review the 2007 police shooting of a 12-year-old West Memphis boy before determining the officer involved shouldn't face charges. Copyright 2009 Associated Press. All rights reserved.
