Wild New York athlete wives: Hot Clicks

I was all set to kick things off today with a Carrie Underwood picture, since Hot Clicks has yet to touch on the report that Tony Romo's former girlfriend is now dating Ottawa Senator Mike Fisher (more on that and other odd Ottawa occurrences here). But then this gallery of "Wild" New York Athlete Wives landed in my inbox. One of the wives in the gallery is Teresa Lourenco, who was or is married to former Net Richard Jefferson. I had never heard of Lourenco before and didn't remember ever seeing her picture -- which isn't good because she was actually in the 2005 SI Swimsuit issue with Jefferson. After some thorough research, I still wasn't able to find out if the two are still married, but I did find this page and these pictures. Oh, and this video.

Ripping Off Rickey

While I'm a couple of years late on discovering Lourenco, I'm only a couple of days late on touching on what is easily one of the top five biggest sports atrocities of my lifetime. Writer Corky Simpson, who writes for the Green Valley News and Sun, left Rickey Henderson, the greatest leadoff hitter in history and one of the top 5-10 players of the '80s, COMPLETELY off his Hall of Fame ballot. Sports fans are subjected to roughly 589,242 columns each winter about what a joke the BCS is, but there should be just as much outcry about the Baseball Hall of Fame balloting. Not only can this writer leave Rickey off his ballot, but why are players such as Jay Bell, Ron Gant, Dan Plesac and Greg Vaughn even ON the ballot at all?

A Blast From The Past has unearthed Michael Jordan's first acting gig. (Make sure you jack your volume all the way up before clicking on the video.) Speaking of Jordan, The Hoop Doctors are looking at His Airness' top 10 magazine covers.

Sports Video Of The Day

I know these Hitler videos are kinda played out and the one embedded below is six weeks old, but since I mentioned the Lions above, I had to include this. I think it's one of the better Hitler videos out there. (Warning: Link contains strong language.)

Marisa Tomei Video Of The Day

Wayne, of Channahon, Ill., says "So, I was bored and watching The Ellen DeGeneres Show (don't ask), but the guest was Marisa Tomei. I have always thought she was hot, but the way she uses a hula hoop would make George Costanza's head explode. Enjoy." Wayne isn't lying. Tomei shows off some impressive -- i.e. sexy -- dance skills in the beginning of the clip and even more impressive hula hoop skills at the end. You'll be looking forward to The Wrestler even more after watching this.

Commercial Of The Day

Josh, of Spokane, Wash., Rob, of Omaha, Neb., and Daniel Pacelli, of N.J., all sent in this commercial for the Slap Chop, brought to you by the man who gave us the ShamWow! The highlight comes at the 55-second mark.
