The Giants' chances of repeating as Super Bowl champs officially ended yesterday, but the season was really over when Plaxico Burress shot himself. The team was never the same after that, and it's tough to win a playoff game when your starting receivers are Steve Smith, Amani Toomer and Domenik Hixon. One Giant who did have a decent Sunday, though, was Tiki Barber. Sure, he had the embarrassing task of hosting a Golden Globes preshow, but at least he got to see the likes of Beyonce, Salma Hayek and Megan Fox up close. By the way, I heard Tiki's interview with Entourage star Jeremy Piven on the Howard Stern Show this morning and if anyone can YouTube it, I'll send you some swag. Piven tried to compare his leaving a Broadway play because of mercury poisoning to Tiki taking himself out of a football game, and Tiki shot back with a line like "well, I never would've left the game." On a side note, congrats to Slumdog Millionaire for winning Best Picture last night. It's a great movie, and lead actress Fredia Pinto is easy on the eyes.
