Hot Clicks

Lovely Lively

Here's the deal. I'm supposed to start off with some item that I can relate to sports in some way, shape or form. But every now and then sports take a backseat to certain important things. This is one of those times, because at last night's Emmy Awards, Blake Lively wore this dress. That is all. Actually, that's not all. I love you, Blake. Please marry me. OK, that is all. (Thanks to Jack, of Toronto, for the link.)

NFL Roundup

Chad Ochocinco did his Lambeau Leap, and the best part was a fan who let all of America know what he thought about it. ... At least Browns fans have Twitter to vent their frustrations. ... Sheldon Brown should've worn this mask after the Eagles' defensive effort against the Saints, not before. ... In Washington, fans booed their players after they beat the Rams. That caused backup linebacker Robert Henson to go on Twitter and basically tell Redskins fans that he makes a lot of money and they work at McDonald's. ... In New York, fans are just a little excited that the Jets beat the Patriots. ... Meanwhile, Terrell Owens took to Twitter to take a shot at Tony Romo. ... And here are more must-see pictures from Week 2.

College Football Roundup

Kanye West was a big part of all the funny signs at the site of ESPN's College GameDay. ... It wasn't enough that Notre Dame wide receiver Golden Tate scored a touchdown against Michigan State. He had to jump into the school's band section, too. ... Sean McDonough did his best Gus Johnson at the end of the Virginia Tech-Nebraska game.

For their annual rookie hazing ritual, the Yankees went with a Batman theme.

Shocker: A Kardashian & An Athlete

Hot Clicks was upset that we lost Kim Kardashian when she and Reggie Bush recently broke up. Well, Kim's sister Khloe is reportedly set to marry Lakers forward Lamar Odom, but that doesn't even come close to making up for the loss of Kim.

Is This The World's Longest Basketball Shot?

It took place at Texas A&M's Kyle Field, and there are three different views: split screen, third-deck view and field view.

Snuggie Has Staying Power

My apologies to Ryan Beaudry, of Chambersburg, Pa., Joe Gallagher, of Cincinnati, Shawn Ashley, of Norman, Okla., Pete Fox, of Bethlehem, Pa. They all alerted me last week to the Snuggie making an appearance at Fashion Week in New York City, but I forgot to mention it in Hot Clicks.

Sports Video Of The Day
The Clemson-Georgia Tech game took place two Thursdays ago, but this video just hit the Tube last Thursday. A Tigers fan took the loss very, very hard and the ESPN crew caught it all on camera. What's even better is the running commentary by Chris Fowler and Jesse Palmer. (Thanks to Jason C., of Pocatello, Idaho, for the link.)

Commercial Of The Day
Steve Nash pimps VitaminWater, but does so in an amusing way. (Thanks to Kevin Burke, of Washington, Ceasar, of New York City, Jeff Grandy, of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Haz, of North Kingstown, R.I., and Steve Young, of Mississauga, Canada, for the link.)

Dance Video Of The Day
Hot Clicks is normally about all things '80s, but Ben, of Kingsport, Tenn., thinks we should remember the fine dance moves that the '90s brought us.
