CLICK HERE FOR MONDAY'S A.M. HOT CLICKS.The 7-3 Patriots visit the 10-0 Saints tonight in what could be one of them most entertaining games of the season. How big is this game in New Orleans? The city is shutting down at 3 p.m. today. More importantly, this matchup allows us to examine a very simple question:
Rough Night For RoughridersI know that the Grey Cup isn't exactly huge in the U.S., but you need to see the way the championship game ended last night. Can you imagine a Super Bowl ending that way? (Thanks to Brennan Carson, of Oakville, Ontario, for the link.)
Lovely Lady Of The Day
Abigail Klein :: Getty ImagesRoger Wright, of Chicago, says, "Very nice job adding the P.M. edition. Definitely makes the end of the day more interesting. It would not hurt my feelings if you had Abigail Klein in every edition."
Wrecking Ball FollowupJon, of Baltimore, e-mailed to say, "Jimmy, have you been able to get any confirmation on that video of the wrecking ball hitting the minivan? I ask because some simple physics has me scratching my head over how quickly and completely that umpteen ton wrecking ball came to a stop after a hit on a car moving at a good 20-30 miles per hour. It just seems a little sketchy to me, like either a photoshop video job or a media stunt." I did get confirmation. Sean, of New York, e-mailed, "Jimmy, you've probably already received plenty of e-mails about the "Wrecking Ball Video of the Day", but it was a stunt in a movie they were shooting at the corner of Park and 24th in NYC (I work in an office at Park and 25th). Based on rumors in the office, it was for The Other Guys, Mark Wahlberg's new movie. Still, keep up the good work! My lunch break is never boring with your column.
Pick 'Em UpdateJay, of Milwaukee, e-mailed to ask, "What's up with Hot Click's Pick 'Em Pool? No mentions. No updates. Could it be because you're not doing so well, Jimmy?" That's part of it since I rank 337th out of 1,309 with 80 points. But things are very tight, with Gibbs12.com and The Reverse PeepHole (where'd that name come from?) tied for first with 109 points, while Disco Pimps (107) and Pats win SB! Gisele MVP (105) are in striking distance.
Sports Video Of The DayProving that every video is better with Benny Hill music comes this clip of Florida State defensive back Greg Reid whiffing on Gators tight end Aaron Hernandez.
Susie Greene Video Of The DayCurb Your Enthusiasm is done for the season, but at least we have six-plus minutes of Susie's rants in one clip. And by Susie's rants, I mean, Susie cursing. If you're at work, put the headphones on, because this is an f-bomb-fest.
