FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) -- Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of public intoxication.

Mallett, a Michigan transfer who is competing for the starting job with the Razorbacks, entered his plea Friday in Fayetteville District Court. He paid $155 in court costs, fines and fees.

Mallett, a 20-year-old who played 11 games for Michigan two seasons ago, was arrested last month outside of a nightclub near campus.

Arkansas is in the middle of spring practice. The team's spring game is April 18.
