MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) -- Alabama Attorney General Troy King has closed his office's investigation into former Alabama star Andre Smith's alleged dealings with a sports agent. King said Wednesday the investigation found no probable cause to believe that anyone violated Alabama's sports agents law. Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban suspended the All-America left tackle days before the Crimson Tide's Sugar Bowl game against Utah amid allegations that Smith or a person representing him had improper contact with a sports agent. King had assigned senior prosecutor Don Valeska to review the case for possible charges in late December. The university has refused to provide media outlets with a copy of its report to the attorney general's office, citing federal privacy laws. Copyright 2009 Associated Press. All rights reserved.
