Texas Tech lineman suspended indefinitely

LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) -- Texas Tech offensive lineman Brandon Carter has been suspended indefinitely by coach Mike Leach for violating team rules.

The Red Raiders didn't provide specifics Sunday night. They lost to No. 17 Houston 29-28 on Saturday night.

According to the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, Carter had told followers on his Twitter account that he'd been suspended and stripped of his captaincy.

"I am not a captain anymore and will not be playing this week," Carter wrote. "Good luck red raiders ill still be cheering on my family from the stands!!:)"
