QB Gabbert to start for Missouri |
COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) -- Missouri coach Gary Pinkel says quarterback Blaine Gabbert will start Saturday night against No. 3 Texas despite a sprained right ankle. Gabbert suffered the injury in the Tigers' Oct. 8 loss to Nebraska. The sprain has noticeably affected his mobility and throwing. But Gabbert said Monday he's "good to go" for Missouri (4-2, 0-2 Big 12) against the Longhorns (6-0, 3-0). Pinkel said he's hopeful Gabbert will be "100 percent" for the game. On Saturday, Gabbert threw for 325 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions in Missouri's 33-17 loss at Oklahoma State. Copyright 2009 Associated Press. All rights reserved.
