LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) -- Nebraska star nose tackle Ndamukong Suh has been ticketed for negligent driving after he hit three parked cars on a narrow street east of campus early Sunday.

A breathalyzer test showed Suh's blood-alcohol level at .035, well below the legal limit of .08, according to an incident report.

Suh, who was driving a 2003 Land Rover sport-utility vehicle, told officers he struck the first vehicle after he swerved to avoid hitting a small dog or cat crossing the street.

The Land Rover bounced off the first vehicle, then hit two others on the other side of the street.

There were no injuries. Suh's Land Rover had an estimated $10,000 in damage.

Police Capt. David Beggs said the central Lincoln street where the accident occurred is 25 feet wide, and parking is allowed on both sides.

"It's a tight little area," Beggs said. "Not much room for error."

Beggs said Suh was "absolutely cooperative" with officers.

Nebraska coach Bo Pelini had no comment other than to say he was aware of the accident, spokesman Keith Mann said.

Suh did not immediately return a telephone message the Associated Press left with Mann.

The Cornhuskers defeated Baylor 20-10 in Waco, Texas, on Saturday. The team's charter flight returned to Lincoln shortly before 7 p.m.

Suh made five tackles and had a sack. Projected as a high pick in next April's NFL draft, he shares the team lead in tackles, with 49 in eight games.
