![]() ![]() ![]() TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- Arizona coach Mike Stoops called Oregon athletic director Mike Bellotti to express concern for the health of a Ducks cheerleader who was hit in the head by a water bottle thrown from the grandstand on Saturday night. Katelynn Johnson suffered a concussion as the Ducks celebrated a 44-41 double-overtime victory in Arizona Stadium. She was carted off the field and taken to the hospital, where she was treated and released. An Oregon spokesman said Johnson returned to Eugene on Sunday. Speaking at his weekly campus news conference on Monday, Stoops called the incident "disturbing." "When you think about that, you can seriously hurt somebody, kill somebody actually, throwing something like that from the stands," Stoops said. "That's concerning and it's unfortunate and it's something we'll continue to look at security-wise, I'm sure." Stoops said he told Bellotti "how sorry and unfortunate that was, and glad to hear that she was released from the hospital." Copyright 2009 Associated Press. All rights reserved.
