UF coach Meyer treated, released for dehydration
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida football coach Urban Meyer was treated and released from a local hospital after being treated for dehydration hours following the Gators' 32-13 loss to Alabama in the SEC championship on Saturday.
Florida athletic department spokesman Steve McClain confirmed that Meyer was treated, but he declined to name the hospital or to confirm whether Meyer had been released. McClain said Meyer is "feeling fine".
Meyer, 45, is in his fifth year at Florida. He coached the Gators to national titles in 2006 and 2008. Meyer is scheduled to be available on a teleconference later Sunday night.
