NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (AP) -- Officials in Newport News, Va., say Kansas City Chiefs cornerback David Thurman Macklin has been arrested on a drunken driving charge. Officials at the city jail and traffic court said Macklin was arrested early Friday. He also was charged with having an illegally tinted window. Court and jail officials did not know if the 30-year-old NFL player had retained an attorney. Macklin attended high school in Newport News and joined the Chiefs in November after he was released by St. Louis. He also has played for Indianapolis and Washington. Copyright 2009 Associated Press.
