Panthers get Wesley back after ban, cut Lewis |
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- The Carolina Panthers have waived Keith Lewis and activated fellow special teams player Dante Wesley from the reserved-suspended list. Wesley rejoined the team Tuesday after being suspended one game for launching himself into Tampa Bay returner Clifton Smith on Oct 11. Smith sustained a concussion on the play. Lewis was signed last week to take Wesley's roster spot, but was on the inactive list in Carolina's loss to Buffalo. Copyright 2009 Associated Press. All rights reserved.
