VENICE, Italy (AP) -- Lance Armstrong has no illusions about winning the Giro d'Italia. Armstrong doesn't expect to duplicate Astana teammate Alberto Contador's feat of winning the Giro after taking time off the bike. Contador returned from vacation last year and competed in the Giro, regaining his form as the race went on and finishing with the pink jersey. Armstrong says Thursday he can't win the race so soon after recovering from a broken collar bone. He says he feels "better than I expected to feel, but I know I don't have the condition to win." Armstrong broke his collarbone in a crash in March and began racing again last week. The Giro starts on Saturday. Copyright 2009 Associated Press. All rights reserved.
