IAAF confirms Isinbayeva latest pole vault mark |
MONACO (AP) -- Russian pole vaulter Yelena Isinbayeva's world record of 5.06 meters at the Weltklasse meet in Zurich has been ratified by the IAAF. Her performance Aug. 28 beat the mark of 5.05 she cleared at the Beijing Olympics a year earlier. Isinbayeva has broken the world outdoor and indoor records 27 times. Copyright 2009 Associated Press.
