Phelps rival Biedermann has thigh injury |
FRANKFURT (AP) -- German swimmer Paul Biedermann has a thigh injury that could prevent him from facing Michael Phelps this month. The short-course World Cup competition is Nov. 14-15 in Berlin. Biedermann beat Phelps in the 200-meter freestyle at the world championships in Rome in July. Germany coach Dirk Lange says Biedermann is trying to get in shape for the showdown with the Olympic great in Berlin. Biedermann already has ruled himself out of next week's meet in Stockholm.
