BARCELONA, Spain (AP) -- Austrian snowboarder Stefan Gimpl has won a World Cup big air competition on a ramp built on a stadium field.

Gimpl edged Switzerland's Gian-Luca Cavigelli on Saturday for his second victory this season. Norways's Gjermund Braaten was third, followed by Switzerland's Benedikt Nadig and Finland's Roope Tonteri.

Gimpl won the opening big air event in London and leads the World Cup standings with 2,000 points. Cavigelli and Kazuhiro Kokubo of Japan are second with 1,600, with three others tied for third with 1,000.

The next snowboard World Cup event is a big air at Stockholm on Nov. 21.
