
VCU fires men's soccer coach O'Sullivan |
![]() ![]() ![]() RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Virginia Commonwealth University has fired men's soccer coach Tim O'Sullivan. The school announced Monday that O'Sullivan's contract is not being renewed after 15 years on the job. A search for a new coach will begin immediately. O'Sullivan compiled a 148-118-35 record at VCU, but the program has declined since winning three consecutive Colonial Athletic Association titles from 2002-2004. The 2004 team advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Championship. Last season's team was 5-10-2 overall, 2-8-1 in the CAA. Before coming to VCU, O'Sullivan registered a 115-108-25 record as the head coach at the University of Richmond. Copyright 2009 Associated Press. All rights reserved.
