Ferrari: Massa will test drive car at team's track |
ROME (AP) -- Ferrari says injured Formula One driver Felipe Massa will drive a car at his team's test track after his latest neurological exams at a Paris hospital went well. "Felipe will return to Maranello tomorrow (Sunday) where he will take a further step in his recovery program in the best possible way, taking the wheel" of a private F2007 single-seater in a test, Ferrari said on its Web site. Massa is trying to make a comeback from a life-threatening accident. He was knocked unconscious by a loose car part in qualifying at the Hungarian GP in July and crashed into a safety barrier. He injured his left eye area and required surgery and later had a metal plate inserted. On Saturday, Massa wrapped up medical exams at Pitie Salpetriere hospital in Paris, the team said.
