TORREON, Mexico (AP) -- Darwin Quintero scored twice in added time on Thursday to give Santos Laguna of Mexico an extraordinary 5-4 aggregate win over the Montreal Impact and a place in the semifinals of the CONCACAF Champions League.

Trailing 2-0 from the away game, Santos led the second leg 3-2 entering stoppage time but was on the brink of elimination as it required two more goals to beat the Canadian club.

Then Colombian striker Quintero scored twice to turn the tie on its head and put Santos through to a semifinal against Mexican rival Atlante. The other semifinal will pit Mexico's Cruz Azul against Puerto Rico Islanders.

Starting with a 2-0 deficit, Santos pulled a goal back in the 16th minute through Ecuadorian striker Christian Benitez.

However Montreal pushed the aggregate score out to 4-1 with goals from well-traveled Panamanian striker Roberto Brown in the 24th minute and veteran Cuban forward Eddy Sebrango in the 38th.

Matias Vuoso scored in the 52nd and 75th minutes to pull Santos back into the game before Quintero's late strikes.
