MILAN (AP) -- Defenders Marco Materazzi and Nicolas Burdisso will miss Inter Milan's game against Manchester United this week as Italy's three clubs competing in the Champions League each got bad news following medical exams Sunday.

Materazzi and Burdisso were both ruled out of Wednesday's return leg in the last 16, Juventus midfielder Mohamed Sissoko was diagnosed with a broken right foot two days before his team face Chelsea and AS Roma defender Cicinho hurt his knee in training ahead of the Arsenal game.

Burdisso hurt his right leg and tore a ligament in his left knee and Materazzi injured his left leg in Saturday's 2-0 win at Genoa in Serie A.

Materazzi may miss three weeks, while Burdisso could be out for six weeks.

Ivan Cordoba figures to be a starter in central defense for Inter but it's unclear who he will partner after Nelson Rivas gifted a goal to Sampdoria in midweek. Esteban Cambiasso could be pulled back from midfield.

Sissoko was hurt in Saturday's 1-0 derby win over Torino and could be out for two months. However, defenders Zdenek Grygera and Nicola Legrottaglie have resumed training and should be cleared to face Chelsea.

Cicinho will undergo medical exams Monday. Roma midfielder David Pizarro was also injured in a 1-1 draw with Udinese on Saturday, although exams ruled out torn ligaments.
