Scolari to decide future by the weekend

SAO PAULO (AP) -- Luiz Felipe Scolari is expected to decide his future by the weekend as he considers several offers to coach clubs and national teams from Europe and Asia.

One of the offers the veteran Brazilian coach is considering is from Uzbekistan champion Bunyodkor, Scolari's spokesman Acaz Fellegger told local television Monday.

Scolari, without a job since being fired by Chelsea in February, was in Uzbekistan recently to meet with club directors.

Scolari also is looking into several other offers from clubs and national teams in Europe and Asia, Fellegger said, without elaborating.

"By the weekend he should announce his decision," he added.

Scolari led Brazil to its fifth World Cup title in 2002 at South Korea and Japan, then coached Portugal before signing with Premier League club Chelsea last year.
