Everton not only suitor for Clint Dempsey, agent says

American Clint Dempsey scored against both Spain and Brazil in the Confederations Cup, and it is not surprising that his performance in the tournament won him some notice.

Since Dempsey has not yet renewed his contract with Fulham, he is a prime target for other clubs.

Though earlier reports linked him with a move to Everton, Dempsey's agent Lyle Yorks confirmed to Goal.com that there is interest from multiple clubs.

In fact, it's possible that Dempsey could even switch leagues.

"We have interest from several clubs in Clint," Yorks related to Goal.com by email. "This includes two clubs in the EPL, 1 in France, 2 in Germany and 1 in Spain."

A move to Everton would see Dempsey reunite with his Confederations Cup teammate Tim Howard.

France has another USA teammate playing at Rennes, Carlos Bocanegra, who was previously Dempsey's teammate at Fulham.

Germany features a number of players who are American, including Michael Bradley, Jermaine Jones, and Steve Cherundolo.

Even Spain's La Liga features an American, Jozy Altidore at Villarreal, though he has stated he is looking for a move for more playing time.
