EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (AP) -- The New England Revolution closed in on a MLS playoff berth by remaining undefeated against the New York Red Bulls since 2005 with a 1-1 draw on Friday.

The Revolution moved into a tie for fourth place with Toronto in the Eastern Conference standings with 34 points, two out of the eighth and final playoff spot.

In the 13th minute, Sainey Nyassi stole the ball inside New York's half, dribbled along the right and unfurled a blast from 15 (meters) yards into the upper right corner.

John Wolyniec equalized in the 69th, beating Revolution goalkeeper Matt Reis from inside the box as he viciously collided with defender Jay Heaps. Wolyniec was injured on the play and replaced.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) - Conor Casey, the MLS' leading scorer, converted a penalty kick in second-half injury time to lift Colorado into the draw.

Casey scored his 14th goal after San Jose was called for taking down Drew Moor in a scramble for a last-minute cross. Casey pushed his shot to the right of goalkeeper Joe Cannon seconds before the final whistle sounded.

The Earthquakes (5-13-5) were looking to hand Colorado (10-8-7) its second consecutive loss.

San Jose went up in the eighth minute on Ryan Johnson's header.
