BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) -- Leonardo Astrada is expected to be introduced as the new coach of River Plate on Wednesday, replacing Nestor Gorosito who resigned Sunday after a 2-1 loss again San Lorenzo.

News reports said Astrada will accept a 15-month contract to return to the club, which he also coached in 2004-2005.

Gorosito coached River for 34 games and won only 10. He lost 15 and drew 9.

Under Gorosito, River Plate won only one of seven league matches this season and was eliminated from the first round of the Copa Sudamericana.
