Dudu-led Olympiakos beats Ergotelis 2-1

ATHENS, Greece (AP)-- Brazilian midfielder Dudu scored one goal and set up another Saturday as Olympiakos beat visiting Ergotelis 2-1 in the Greek league.

Costas Mitroglou also scored for Olympiakos, while Georgian defender Giorgi Shashiashvili netted Ergotelis' goal.

The win took Olympiakos top of the standings with 22 points, three ahead of Panathinaikos, which hosts PAOK Thessaloniki on Sunday.

Ergotelis took the lead through Shashiashvili after a cross by Diego Romano in the 22nd minute.

The hosts came close to leveling a minute later when a low drive by Mitroglou forced goalkeeper Iosif Daskalakis to make a one-hand diving save.

The visitors came close to another goal in the 32nd, when a blistering shot by Dimitris Orfanos went just wide.

Mitroglou leveled in the 38th off a through ball by Dudu.

Brazilian midfielder Beto shot wide in the 69th with only goalkeeper Antonis Nikopolidis to beat.

Olympiakos scored the winner against the run of play in the 85th when Dudu found the net from a cross by Giorgos Galitsios.

Also Saturday, it was: Asteras 1, Atromitos 2; and Panionios 3, Giannena 1.

Also Sunday, it's: Levadiakos vs. Iraklis; Panthrakikos vs. Larissa; Aris vs. AEK; and Xanthi vs. Kavala.
