GLASGOW, Scotland (AP) -- Celtic conceded a late equalizer in a 3-3 draw at bottom-place Falkirk on Sunday, squandering the chance to build a bigger lead over second-place Rangers in the Scottish title race.

Celtic midfielder Aiden McGeady had a first-half penalty saved before Gary Caldwell headed the Glasgow side ahead 10 minutes into the second half.

But Scott Arfield leveled from the penalty spot, before Pedro Moutinho volleyed Falkirk into a shock 2-1 lead. The match then swung back Celtic's way thanks to substitute Scott McDonald, who headed an equalizer in the 72nd minute before grabbing another seven minutes later.

However, there was still time for Mark Stewart to come off Falkirk's bench and make it 3-3.

The draw left Celtic on 24 points, two points clear of defending champion Rangers, which has a game in hand.

Two goals from Kris Boyd gave Rangers a 2-1 victory against St. Mirren on Saturday.
