Germans open investigation into Turkish coach |
FRANKFURT (AP) -The German football federation is launching an investigation into how a Turkish club coach obtained his coaching diploma amid suspicions that academic regulations may have been violated. Serdar Dayat is now an assistant to German coach Thomas Doll at the Turkish club Genclerbirligi. He graduated from the German sports academy in Cologne earlier this year with a diploma in football coaching. The federation said Monday there was a suspicion that he may have violated academy regulations and that he will be invited to a hearing before any further moves. The federation gave no further details. ![]() |
