LE MANS, France (AP) -North Korea was held to a scoreless draw by the Republic of Congo in a friendly on Tuesday.

Playing its second match in Europe in 43 years following another 0-0 result with French second-division club Nantes last week, North Korea created more chances than Congo.

North Korea arrived in France on Oct. 5 as part of its preparations for next year's World Cup and is expected to leave on Friday.

North Korea will play its second World Cup in South Africa following its epic run at the 1966 tournament in England, where it ousted Italy on the way to the quarterfinals before losing 5-3 to Portugal.
