Blake beats Santoro in Paris Masters' first round |
![]() ![]() ![]() PARIS (AP) -- James Blake of the United States has beaten Fabrice Santoro of France 6-4, 6-3 in the first round of the Paris Masters. Blake broke Santoro's serve twice in each set on Sunday. He next plays fourth-seeded Andy Murray of Britain. The 36-year-old Santoro is playing in his final season on the ATP tour and swapped jerseys with Blake after the match. He then took a lap around the court to warm applause from the crowd at Bercy indoor arena. Later, Benjamin Becker of Germany was scheduled to play Michael Llodra of France.
