Talbot's clutch performance lands him among Game 7's stars

DETROIT -- Here are the Three Stars from the Penguins' 2-1 victory in Game 7 to win the Stanley Cup:

1. Max Talbot, Penguins: Proving he's more clutch than a first-time stick-shift driver, the Penguins' winger scored twice to win his first Stanley Cup. He's a heart-and-soul guy, and very well liked. It couldn't have happened to a better person, to be the only scorer for the team.

2. Marc-Andre Fleury, Penguins: The goalie made 23 stops, answering all critics who questioned his spotty play all postseason. He shook off a terrible Game 5, in which he let in five goals, to keep his team in it. Now, the always-smiling Fleury finally has something to really smile about.

3. Jordan Staal, Penguins: The Pittsburgh forward stepped in for Sidney Crosby, who went down midway through the second period. The big-bodied two-way center kept Detroit's top scorers at bay, as Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk couldn't take advantage of Crosby's absence because of the defensive abilities that Staal brings. Now that two of the three Staal brothers have a Stanley Cup on their resumes, that only leaves Marc, a defenseman for the Rangers.
