Erik Bedard has agreed to return to the Mariners on a one-year deal, sources have confirmed to SI.com.

His new contract is said to be an incentive laden deal with a low base that can bring him slightly past the $7.5 million he made in 2009. Bedard was quoted in a Canadian paper saying his contract guarantees $1.5 million.

Bedard went 5-3 with a 2.82 ERA in 15 starts last season.
