Allen Iverson's second tour with Philadelphia may be nearing an end.

According to an NBA source, Iverson has left the 76ers indefinitely to deal with a personal issue related to the health of his young daughter and there is no timetable for his return.

"At this time, we feel that it is in the best interest of the Sixers, Allen and his family that he be allowed to deal with a very serious issue that is far greater than the game of basketball," said team president and general manager Ed Stefanski.

Iverson missed five games to be with his daughter earlier this month and her health problems, which have not been revealed publicly -- forced him to miss the NBA All-Star game, which he was voted into as a starter.

Yahoo! Sports reported on Tuesday that Sixers coach Eddie Jordan addressed the team on Sunday, telling players that there was a chance Iverson would not return to the team. Another league source familiar with the situation told SI.com that the team was leaning toward cutting ties with Iverson, who is averaging 13.9 points and 4.1 assists in 25 games with the Sixers this season.
